Michael Patterson

Michael is a performer, composer, teacher and audio producer. Along with his qualifications – Bmus, Amus and Lmus, Grad Dip Teaching & Learning, and M.Phil(music), Michael has a broad range of experience:

  • Soloist, core member and Guest Artistic Director of Camerata 2007-2018

  • Composed string arrangements for “The Voice” TV show 2015 & 2017

  • Commissioned Composer for Camerata, String SirensAngel Strings, St Peters Lutheran College and Clayfield College.

  • Violist and violinist with The Queensland Symphony Orchestra 2009-2018

  • Violin and viola teacher at Brisbane Girls Grammar School and Brisbane Boys Grammar School 2011-2018

  • AUSTA State chapter president (Tasmania) 2011

  • Set-piece composer for Prestige Music’s Music Fest 2009 and 2010

  • Guest violist with Topology 2007- 2015

  • Gypsy and Balkan-folk violinist with Doch and Doch Gypsy Orchestra including at The Powerhouse 2007, The Festival of Colour in Wanaka NZ 2007, WOMAD 2006, Cygnet Folk Festival Tasmania 2006, Commonwealth Games Melbourne 2006, The Big Day Out 2005, Woodford Folk Festival 2002-2007.

  • Violin and Viola teacher at the Queensland University of Technology 2007-2008
